FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

The Basics

What are audio sunglasses? Sunglasses with small speakers built into the temples, so you can take calls, listen to music, or catch a podcast without putting anything in your ears. No earbuds, no separate headphones, just the sunglasses you'd wear anyway, doing one more job.

How do they work? Small directional speakers built into the arms of the frame send sound toward your ear rather than into it, so your ear canal stays open. They pair over Bluetooth, the same way wireless earbuds do, no app required. A built-in microphone handles calls, and a tap on the temple lets you answer, end, or manage playback.

Will people near me hear what I'm listening to? At normal volumes, no. The speakers are directional and designed for you, not for broadcasting. At high volume in a very quiet room, someone standing close might catch some sound. For calls and typical listening, they're discreet.

Fit, Comfort & Design

Will they fit my face? They're designed as a standard sunglasses frame, if you can comfortably wear regular sunglasses, they should fit the same way.

Do they look like normal sunglasses, or obviously "tech"? The audio technology sits in the temples of the frame. From the front, they read as sunglasses, not a gadget.

Are they available in prescription lenses? Yes

Technical Specs

What's the battery life? 3 to 6 hours of playback and call time on a full charge, depending on volume and use.

Will they work with my phone? They connect via Bluetooth 5.3 and are compatible with Android 5.0 and above, and iOS 9.0 and above, which covers the large majority of phones in use today.

Do they offer UV protection? Yes. The lenses are UV protected, and the frames are made from UV-treated PC and ABS material.

Are they waterproof? They are sweat-resistant, splash-resistant.

Using Them Day to Day

What are they best for? The moments in between: the commute, the school run, a walk, joining a meeting on the move, taking a call while you're still in the room with everyone else.

What are they not for? If you want to fully block outside noise, for deep focus work, a flight, or a gym session where you don't want to hear anything else, sealed earbuds or noise-cancelling headphones do that job better. These aren't designed to replace that. They're built for everything else.

Are they safe for driving or cycling? We don't make safety claims about driving or cycling performance, and you shouldn't take any product's word for that without independent testing or certification behind it. What we can say factually: they don't block your ear canal the way sealed earbuds or noise-cancelling headphones do, so ambient sound reaches you while you're wearing them. Whether that matters for your situation is your call, road rules and conditions vary by state, so we'd recommend checking current road rules where you are.
